Deer hunting the vastness inside the "Blue Line" of New York's 6 million acre Adirondack Mountain range is no joke. It consumes hunters, both literally and metaphorically. Those with poor navigational skills should think twice about hunting these mountains, but to Todd Mead, is all second nature. Todd has spent a lifetime hunting this tremendous forest where disappearing deep into the woods for days to hunt the back country bucks is no big deal. Todd's pack is loaded with gear, but perhaps the most important piece is his life saving diabetes kit: a must have for a big woods hunters with Type I diabetes. Todd shares his stories with us as he uses his pen to capture a lifetime of hunting in the Adirondack Mountains.
