In the first part of our 6 Part Series of Hunt Tech, where we explore the technology that has embedded itself in our hunting lives, we dive deep into a new hunting app called DeerCast by Drury Outdoors. For a very long time deer hunters have been trying to determine when deer move, what conditions make for a worthy deer hunt, and when should we as deer hunters capitalize on those factors. We've spent hours and hours studying solunar charts, weather maps for pressure and cold fronts, and peak estrus diagrams for the areas that we hunt. It can be a daunting task to put that all together. The Drurys- Mark, Terry, Matt, and Taylor have condensed all this information into one app for iOS and Android call Deercast to determine the best times to hunt in your area during each phase of the Drury 13 Phases of hunting. Will it be effective? Only time will tell, but undoubtedly technology in the deer hunting world, like it or not, is here to stay. So we thought we should explore in detail some of these tech advancements. Stay tuned for our next episode where we explore action cameras with the likes of Tactacam.
