White-tailed deer are arguably the most important game species in North America. Kip Adams, Wildlife Biologist and the Director of Conservation for the Quality Deer Management Association, would agree with this concept. More hunters pursue whitetail than any other species and whitetail hunters contribute more financially than and other hunter segment. But how to the numbers stack up state to state? Who’s killing the most deer? Which state kills the most does? Which state kills more bucks per square mile? Which state has the highest percentage of yearling buck kills? Which has the least? We had lots of these types of questions, and it just so happens that QDMA puts out such a booklet about this each year. So we asked Kip to break it all down for us.
