Fred Bird is full speed ahead. A turkey hunter at heart, Fred found his dream job with the National Wild Turkey Federation as a Regional Director where his primary focus is raising money for the preservation and conservation of the wild turkey. A huge and positive side effect of using dollars to create better habitat for turkey is the creation of habitat for all species. Fred understands this and easily discusses his passion for the preservation of the hunting heritage. Fred may spend lots of time in banquet halls raising money, but make no mistake, Fred's field skills are top notch. And as you might imagine, Fred is one heck of a good turkey hunter. Turns out he's a pretty good deer hunter too (although he won't admit it). We enjoyed Fred's passion and commitment to the outdoors so much that we launched another podcast with him called The Strut Zone NWTF All Access, which is now the Official Podcast of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Fred isn't just a desk and phone kind of guy. As he says, he likes to kill stuff and eat it.
